Definition of Happiness / Luck

As-sa'd and as-sa'ada: the divine assistance to man to obtain good.

It is the opposite of ash-shaqawa (misfortune).

The Almighty says: 'As for those who are blessed, they will be in Paradise' (Hud 108).

True happiness comes from obedience to God.

Surah Hud : 105 Meccan

﴿يَوْمَ يَأْتِ لَا تَكَلَّمُ نَفْسٌ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۦ فَمِنْهُمْ شَقِىٌّ وَسَعِيدٌ﴾

The Day it comes no soul will speak except by His permission. And among them will be the wretched and the prosperous.

Surah Hud : 108 Meccan

﴿وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ سُعِدُوا۟ فَفِى ٱلْجَنَّةِ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ رَبُّكَ عَطَآءً غَيْرَ مَجْذُوذٍ﴾

And as for those who were [destined to be] prosperous, they will be in Paradise, abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will - a bestowal uninterrupted.
