Definition of Much / Abundance
Al-Kathrah refers to abundance, the opposite of qillah (scarcity).
The Almighty says: 'Competition in increase diverts you' (At-Takathur 1).
Al-Kawthar is the river of Paradise given to the Prophet.
The Almighty says: 'Indeed, We have granted you the abundance' (Al-Kawthar 1).
For men is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave, and for women is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave, be it little or much - an obligatory share.
And do not sit on every path, threatening and averting from the way of Allah those who believe in Him, seeking to make it [seem] deviant. And remember when you were few and He increased you. And see how was the end of the corrupters.
If you [disbelievers] seek the victory - the defeat has come to you. And if you desist [from hostilities], it is best for you; but if you return [to war], We will return, and never will you be availed by your [large] company at all, even if it should increase; and [that is] because Allah is with the believers.
