Definition of Perjury / Sin

Allah says: 'They used to persist in the great sin (al-hinth al-'azîm)' (Al-Wâqi'a: 46).

Al-hinth: major sin, perjury.

The major sin mentioned is shirk (associationism) or swearing not to believe in resurrection.
