Definition of To swallow / To drink

Jari'a al-mâ' yajra'u: he swallowed the water.

And 'tajarra'ahu': he swallowed it gulp by gulp.

Allah says: 'He gulps it (yatajarra'uhu)' (Ibrâhîm: 17), describing the boiling water that the damned will drink with difficulty in Hell, painful gulp after gulp.

He will gulp it but will hardly [be able to] swallow it. And death will come to him from everywhere, but he is not to die. And before him is a massive punishment.
