Hadith text: Give gifts to one another; you will love one another

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «تَهَادَوا تَحَابُّوا».

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Give gifts to one another; you will love one another."

Lessons: Give gifts to one another; you will love one another

• It is recommended to give gifts, because the Prophet (ﷺ) commanded it.
• A gift is a cause of love.
• A person should do everything that brings about affection between himself and others-whether through giving gifts, being gentle in manner, speaking kindly, or showing a cheerful face-as much as he can.
