عَنْ عُمَرَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ لَبِسَ الحَرِيرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا لَمْ يَلْبَسْهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ».

‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wears silk in the life of this world will not wear it in the Hereafter."

• Silk here refers to natural pure silk. As for artificial silk, it does not fall under the Hadīth.
• Men are prohibited from wearing silk.
• The prohibition of wearing silk includes using it as clothes and bedding or covering.
• Men are allowed to have some silk in their clothes as wide as two or four fingers, to be used as a design or trimming for the garment.
