Hadiths on Pre-Islamic Scriptures

Islam > Hadiths > Pre-Islamic Scriptures

1 explained prophetic hadiths on "Pre-Islamic Scriptures": Arabic text, translation, explanation and lessons, with authenticity grade and references.

Short answer

This section contains one authentic hadith (no. 65046) that sets the believer's attitude toward the Scriptures preceding the Qur'an: neither declaring the People of the Book truthful nor branding them as liars. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) instructs: "Neither believe nor disbelieve the People of the Book" but say: {We believe in Allah and what has been sent down to us}. A serene position of faith: believing in one's own revelation, without ratifying or denying what one ignores of the ancient texts.
