Authentic hadith A man who had drunk alcohol was brought to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) who hit him with a palm stalk with about forty lashes. Authentic hadith Every drink that intoxicates is unlawful. Authentic hadith The prohibition of wine was revealed, which is made of five things: grapes, dates, honey, wheat, and barley.
