Hadiths on Prophet's Guidance on Purification

This category preserves an authentic hadith on the guidance of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) during purification. It relates his dream in which he was using a Siwak (tooth-stick); two men came to him, and he was told to give it to the older one first, which he did at once. The text thus ties the use of the Siwak to his practice and to the respect due to the elders. The hadith bears the number 3131.
