One hadith of good grade (number 11252) makes up this category. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: « May Allah have mercy on whoever offers four Rak‘ahs before the ‘Asr prayer ». This supplication shows the virtue of voluntary prayer: preceding the obligation with four units earns the mercy of Allah, a sign of the high value of voluntary deeds performed before the obligatory prayer.
