عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «قَالَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: أَعْدَدْتُ لِعِبَادِي الصَّالِحِينَ، مَا لاَ عَيْنٌ رَأَتْ، وَلاَ أُذُنٌ سَمِعَتْ، وَلاَ خَطَرَ عَلَى قَلْبِ بَشَرٍ» قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: اقْرَؤُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ: {فَلاَ تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَا أُخْفِيَ لَهُمْ مِنْ قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍ} [السجدة: 17].

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, said: I have prepared for My righteous slaves what no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard, and no human heart has ever imagined," Abu Hurayrah said: Recite, if you wish: {No soul knows what delights are kept hidden for them.} [Surat as-Sajdah: 17]

• This Hadīth is part of what the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) narrated from his Lord, and it is called a Qudsi or divine Hadīth. Its wording and meaning are from Allah; however, it does not have the unique characteristics of the Qur’an that include reciting it as a form of worship, getting purified for it, presenting it as a challenge, its miraculousness, etc.
• Encouraging the performance of acts of obedience and refraining from wrongdoings in order to attain what Allah has prepared for His righteous slaves.
• Allah Almighty has not revealed to us in His Book and the Sunnah of His Messenger everything that is in Paradise, and what we do not know is greater than what we have been informed of.
• Pointing out the perfect bliss of Paradise, and that its dwellers will experience pleasures free from any grief or anxiety.
• The worldly pleasures are fleeting, while the Hereafter is better and everlasting.
