Hadith text: Every act of goodness is charity

عن جابر بن عبد الله رضي الله عنهما عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «كُلُّ مَعْرُوفٍ صَدَقَةٌ».

Jābir ibn ‘Abdullāh (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every act of goodness is charity."

• The Hadīth indicates that charity is not limited to what a person spends out of his money, but it includes everything good a person says or does to others.
• It encourages us to do what is good and beneficial to others.
