About Al-Minshawi

Al-Minshawi (1920-1969) was one of Egypt's most influential masters of mujawwad recitation. Born in Al-Mansha, Sohag, into a family of reciters, he memorized the Quran young and became celebrated for a reverent voice, mastery of maqamat, and landmark recordings including the instructional Quran.
