Định nghĩa Bḥth

Al-bahth : le dévoilement et la recherche.

On dit 'bahathtu 'an al-amr' (j'ai cherché l'affaire) et 'bahathtu kadhâ' (j'ai examiné telle chose).

Allah dit : « Allah envoya un corbeau qui grattait (yabhath) la terre » (Al-Mâ'ida : 31).

Le bahth implique une recherche approfondie, un effort pour découvrir ce qui est caché ou inconnu.

Surah Al-Maida : 31 Medinan

﴿فَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ غُرَابًا يَبْحَثُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لِيُرِيَهُۥ كَيْفَ يُوَٰرِى سَوْءَةَ أَخِيهِ قَالَ يَٰوَيْلَتَىٰٓ أَعَجَزْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِثْلَ هَٰذَا ٱلْغُرَابِ فَأُوَٰرِىَ سَوْءَةَ أَخِى فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ ٱلنَّٰدِمِينَ﴾

Puis Allah envoya un corbeau qui se mit à gratter la terre pour lui montrer comment ensevelir le cadavre de son frère. Il dit: «Malheur à moi! Suis-je incapable d'être, comme ce corbeau, à même d'ensevelir le cadavre de mon frère?» Il devint alors du nombre de ceux que ronge le remords.
