📖 1 min readThe Enricher is one of the 99 beautiful names of Allah. Its meaning: The One who grants wealth, sufficiency, and contentment to whom He wills.
To pronounce the name The Enricher in Arabic, we say: Al-Mughni.
It is written in Arabic: المغني.
From the Arabic root غ-ن-ي (gh-n-y, freedom from need), مُغْنِي (mughni) is the Form IV active participle, the one who enriches and grants sufficiency.
The Name “The Enricher” means: The One who grants wealth, sufficiency, and contentment to whom He wills. It affirms a perfection belonging to Allah without defect, limit, or resemblance to creation. In al-Ghazali’s perspective, the believer never claims to share the divine attribute in its reality; instead, the Name gives an orientation suited to the condition of a servant.
Meditating on this Name calls the believer to seek lawful provision, share one's means, and never confuse created means with the true Provider. Knowledge of the Name thereby becomes worship, refinement of character, and trust in Allah alone.
