PronunciationIdha tazawwaja ahadukum imra'atan, aw idha-shtara khadiman fa-l-yaqul: Allahumma inni as'aluka khayraha wa khayra ma jabaltaha 'alayh, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ma jabaltaha 'alayh, wa idha-shtara ba'iran fa-l-ya'khudh bi-dhuruwati sinamihi wa-l-yaqul mithla dhalik.
TranslationWhen one of you marries a woman, or buys a servant, let him say: "O Allah, I ask You for her good and the good for which You created her, and I seek refuge with You from her evil and the evil for which You created her." And if he buys a camel, let him hold its hump and say the same.
