PronunciationAllahu ta'ala said: {Fa-dhkuruni adhkurkum, wa-shkuru li wa la takfurun}.
TranslationAllah the Most High said: {So remember Me, I will remember you; and be grateful to Me and do not be ungrateful.}
س et رة البقرة آية :152
Arabic text{ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ذِكْراً كَثِيراً}
Pronunciation{Ya ayyuha-lladhina amanu-dhkuru-llaha dhikran kathira.}
Translation{O you who believe, remember Allah with much remembrance.}

Arabic text{ وَالذَّاكِرِينَ اللَّهَ كَثِيراً وَالذَّاكِرَاتِ أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْراً عَظِيماً}
Pronunciation{Wa-dh-dhakirina-llaha kathiran wa-dh-dhakirati a'adda-llahu lahum maghfiratan wa ajran 'azima.}
Translation{and men who remember Allah much and women: Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward.}

Arabic text{ وَاذْكُر رَّبَّكَ فِي نَفْسِكَ تَضَرُّعاً وَخِيفَةً وَدُونَ الْجَهْرِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالآصَالِ وَلاَ تَكُن مِّنَ الْغَافِلِينَ }
Pronunciation{Wa-dhkur rabbaka fi nafsika tadarru'an wa khifatan wa duna-l-jahri mina-l-qawli bi-l-ghuduwwi wa-l-asali wa la takun mina-l-ghafiline.}
Translation{And remember your Lord within yourself, humbly and with fear, without loudness of speech, morning and evening, and do not be among the heedless.}

Arabic textوقال صلى الله عليه وسلم : مثل الذي يذكر ربه والذي لا يذكر ربه مثل الحي والميت
PronunciationWa qala salla-llahu 'alayhi wa sallam: mithlu-lladhi yadhkuru rabbahu wa-lladhi la yadhkuru rabbahu mithlu-l-hayyi wa-l-mayt.
TranslationThe Prophet ﷺ said: "The one who remembers his Lord and the one who does not remember his Lord are like the living and the dead."

Arabic textوقال صلى الله عليه وسلم : ألا أنبئكم بخير أعمالكم ،وأزكاها عند مليككم، وأرفعها في درجاتكم ، وخير لكم من إنفاق الذهب والورق ، وخير لكم من أن تلقوا عدوكم فتضربوا أعناقهم ويضربوا أعناقكم ؟ قالوا بلى .قال : ذكر الله تعالى
PronunciationWa qala salla-llahu 'alayhi wa sallam: a-la unabbi'ukum bi-khayri a'malikum, wa azkaha 'inda malikikum, wa arfa'aha fi darajatikum, wa khayrun lakum min infaqi-dh-dhahabi wa-l-wariq, wa khayrun lakum min an talqu 'aduwakum fa-tadribu a'naqahum wa yadribu a'naqakum? Qalu: bala. Qala: dhikru-llahi ta'ala.
TranslationThe Prophet ﷺ said: "Shall I not tell you of the best of your deeds, the purest before your Sovereign, the highest in your ranks, better for you than spending gold and silver, and better for you than facing your enemy and striking their necks and them striking yours?" They said: "Yes indeed." He said: "The remembrance of Allah the Most High."

Arabic textوقال صلى الله عليه وسلم : يقول الله تعالى : أنا عند ظن عبدي بي ، وأنا معه إذا ذكرني ، فإن ذكرني في نفسه ذكرتهُ في نفسي ، وإن ذكرني في ملأ ذكرته في ملأ خير منهم ،وإن تقرب إلي شبراً تقربت إليه ذراعاً ،وإن تقرب إلي ذراعاً تقربت إليه باعاً ، وإن أتاني يمشي أتيتهُ هرولة
PronunciationWa qala salla-llahu 'alayhi wa sallam: yaqulu-llahu ta'ala: ana 'inda dhanni 'abdi bi, wa ana ma'ahu idha dhakarani, fa-in dhakarani fi nafsihi dhakartuhu fi nafsi, wa in dhakarani fi mala'in dhakartuhu fi mala'in khayrin minhum, wa in taqarraba ilayya shibran taqarrabtu ilayhi dhiraa'an, wa in taqarraba ilayya dhiraa'an taqarrabtu ilayhi ba'an, wa in atani yamshi ataytuhu harwalah.
TranslationThe Prophet ﷺ said: "Allah the Most High says: I am with the opinion of My servant of Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in an assembly, I remember him in an assembly better than them; if he draws near to Me a hand-span, I draw near to him an arm's length; if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom; and if he comes to Me walking, I come to him running."

Arabic textوعن عبد الله بن بسرٍ رضي الله عنهُ أن رجلاً قال : يا رسول الله إن شرائع الإسلام قد كثرت علي فأخبرني بشيءٍ أتشبث به. قال صلى الله عليه وسلم : لا يزال لسانك رطباً من ذكر الله
PronunciationWa 'an 'Abdi-llahi ibni Busr radiya-llahu 'anhu anna rajulan qala: ya Rasula-llah, inna sharai'i-l-islami qad kathurat 'alayya fa-akhbirni bi-shay'in atashabbattu bih. Qala salla-llahu 'alayhi wa sallam: la yazalu lisanuka ratban min dhikri-llah.
TranslationFrom 'Abdullah ibn Busr (may Allah be pleased with him), a man said: "O Messenger of Allah, the laws of Islam have multiplied upon me: inform me of a thing to cling to." The Prophet ﷺ said: "Let your tongue remain moist with the remembrance of Allah."

PronunciationWa qala salla-llahu 'alayhi wa sallam: man qara'a harfan min kitabi-llahi fa-lahu bihi hasanah, wa-l-hasanatu bi-'ashri amthaliha, la aqulu: {Alif-Lam-Mim} harfun, wa lakin: alifun harfun, wa lamun harfun, wa mimun harfun.
TranslationThe Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah has a good deed, and the good deed is ten times its like; I do not say that {Alif-Lam-Mim} is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Mim is a letter."

Arabic textوعن عقبة بن عامر رضي الله عنه قال : خرج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ونحن في الصفة فقال : أيكم يحب أن يغدو كل يوم إلى بطحان أو إلى العقيق فيأتي منه بناقتين كوماوين في غير إثم ولا قطيعة رحم ؟ فقلنا : يا رسول الله نحب ذلك . قال : أفلا يغدو أحدكم إلى المسجد فيعلم ، أو يقرأ آيتين من كتاب الله عز وجل خير له من ناقتين ، وثلاث خير لهُ من ثلاث ٍ، وأربع خير لهُ من أربع ، ومن أعدادهن من الإبل
PronunciationWa 'an 'Uqbata ibni 'Amir radiya-llahu 'anhu qala: kharaja rasulu-llahi salla-llahu 'alayhi wa sallam wa nahnu fi-s-suffah fa-qala: ayyukum yuhibbu an yaghduwa kulla yawmin ila But-hana aw ila-l-'Aqiqa fa-ya'tiya minhu bi-naqatayni kawma-wayni fi ghayri ithmin wa la qati'ati rahim? Fa-qulna: ya Rasula-llah nuhibbu dhalik. Qala: a-fa-la yaghdu ahadukum ila-l-masjidi fa-yata'allama, aw yaqra'a ayatayni min kitabi-llahi 'azza wa jalla khayrun lahu min naqatayn, wa thalathun khayrun lahu min thalath, wa arba'un khayrun lahu min arba', wa min 'adadihinna mina-l-ibil.
TranslationFrom 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir (may Allah be pleased with him): the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out while we were in the Suffah and said: "Which of you would like to go every morning to Bout-han or Al-'Aqiq and bring back two large she-camels without sin or severing kinship?" We said: "O Messenger of Allah, we love that." He said: "Then let none of you go to the mosque and learn, or recite two verses of the Book of Allah: that is better for him than two she-camels; and three are better than three, and four better than four, and their equivalents in camels."

Arabic textوقال صلى الله عليه وسلم: من قعد مقعداً لم يذكر الله فيه كانت عليه من الله ترة ومن اضطجع مضجعاً لم يذكر الله فيه كانت عليه من الله ترة
PronunciationWa qala salla-llahu 'alayhi wa sallam: man qa'ada maq'adan lam yadhkuri-llaha fih, kanat 'alayhi mina-llahi tirah, wa mani-dtaja'a mudja'an lam yadhkuri-llaha fih, kanat 'alayhi mina-llahi tirah.
TranslationThe Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever sits in a place where he does not mention Allah, upon him is regret from Allah; and whoever lies in a bed where he does not mention Allah, upon him is regret from Allah."

Arabic textوقال صلى الله عليه وسلم : ما جلس قوم مجلساً لم يذكروا الله فيه ، ولم يصلوا على نبيهم إلا كان عليهم ترة ، فإن شاء عذبهم وإن شاء غفر لهم
PronunciationWa qala salla-llahu 'alayhi wa sallam: ma min qawmin yaqumuna min majlisin la yadhkuruna-llaha fih, wa la yusalluna 'ala nabiyyihim illa qamu 'an mithli jiffati himarin, wa kana lahum hasrah.
TranslationThe Prophet ﷺ said: "No people rise from an assembly where they did not mention Allah and pray upon their prophet except rising from the carcass of a donkey, and they will have regret."

PronunciationWa qala salla-llahu 'alayhi wa sallam: ma min qawmin yaqumuna min majlisin la yadhkuruna-llaha fihi illa qamu 'an mithli jiffati himarin, wa kana lahum hasrah.
TranslationThe Prophet ﷺ said: "No people rise from a gathering where they did not mention Allah but that they rise like the carcass of a donkey, and they will have regret."
