الحَمْدُ لله الذِي أحْيَانا بَعْدَ مَا أمَاتَنَا* وإلَيْهِ النَشُور*
Al-hamdu lillahi-lladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana, wa ilayhi-n-nushur.
All praise is due to Allah who gave us life after He took it, and to Him is the resurrection.
Al-hamdu lillahi-lladhi 'afani fi jasadi, wa radda 'alayya ruhi, wa adhina li bi-dhikrih.
All praise is due to Allah who preserved me in my body, returned my spirit to me, and permitted me to remember Him.
* la résurrection après la mort (la résurrection)
Qala rasulu-llahi salla-llahu 'alayhi wa sallam: man ta'ara mina-l-layl, fa-qala hina yastayqidhu: la ilaha illa-llahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir, subhana-llahi wa-l-hamdu lillah, wa la ilaha illa-llah, wa-llahu akbar, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billa-l-'Aliyyi-l-'Azim. Thumma da'a: Allahumma-ghfir li, fa-ghufira lah. Qala-l-Walid: aw qala: da'a ustujiba lah, fa-in qama fa-tawada'a thumma salla qubilat salatuh.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever wakes during the night" — then he said upon waking: "There is no god but Allah alone, without partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is capable of all things. Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. There is no power nor strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great." Then he supplicates: "O Allah, forgive me" — and he is forgiven. Al-Walid said: or he said: "He supplicated and it was answered." And if he stands, performs ablution and prays, his prayer is accepted.

{Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of night and day are signs for people of understanding, who remember Allah standing, sitting and lying on their sides, and reflect upon the creation of the heavens and the earth: "Our Lord, You did not create this in vain. Glory be to You! Protect us from the punishment of the Fire. Our Lord, whoever You admit into the Fire, You have disgraced him, and the wrongdoers have no helpers. Our Lord, we heard a caller calling to faith: Believe in your Lord. So we believed. Our Lord, forgive us our sins, erase our bad deeds, and take us in death with the righteous. Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through Your messengers, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection, for You never break the promise." Their Lord answered them: "I do not waste the work of any worker among you, male or female; you are of one another. So those who emigrated, were expelled from their homes, were harmed in My way, fought and were killed, I will surely erase their bad deeds and admit them into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, as a reward from Allah, and Allah has with Him the best reward. Let not the going-about of the disbelievers in the land deceive you: brief enjoyment, then their refuge is Hell — an evil resting place. But those who feared their Lord will have Gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein forever, as a gift from Allah; and what is with Allah is best for the righteous. And indeed, among the People of the Book are those who believe in Allah, in what was revealed to you and what was revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allah, not exchanging the verses of Allah for a small price: those have their reward with their Lord, for Allah is swift in account. O you who believe, be patient, endure, remain ready, and fear Allah, that you may succeed."}

{Allah — there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence; neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.}
