Biography of Abu ibn al-Qashab

d ': Abī ibn al-Qashb. Ibn al-Mundah said: Abī ibn al-Qashb, if authentic.

He mentioned a ḥadīth from Ibn Jurayj, from 'Aṭā', from Ibn 'Abbās: that the Prophet ﷺ entered the mosque after the prayer had been established, and Abī ibn al-Qashb was praying two rak'ahs, and He struck his hand on his shoulder, and said: Ibn al-Qashb, are you praying four rak'ahs?

Abū Nā'im said: There was a mistake in it by some of the narrators, and they named him Abī, while his name is actually Ibn al-Qashb.
