Biography of Asad ibn Sa'ya

d ': Asad ibn Sa'iyah al-Qurzi. It is said that he is Asad, and it is said: Asayd, with the 'hamzah' opened and the 'sin' broken.

This is the correct one. Ibrāhīm ibn Sa'd reported, from Ibn Ishaq: Asayd ibn Sa'iyah, with the 'hamzah' broken; the opening is more correct.

Ibn Ishaq said: Tha'labah ibn Sa'iyah, Asayd ibn Sa'iyah, and Asad ibn 'Ubayd are from Banu Hudl,
