Bayrih ibn 'Arfajah

(d 'a) Barih ibn 'Arfajah, or 'Arfajah ibn Barih.

Ibn Mandah said: Thus did 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad al-Muharibi say it, on the authority of Layth ibn Abi Sulaym, on the authority of Ziyad ibn 'Ilaqah, on the authority of Barih ibn 'Arfajah or 'Arfajah ibn Barih, al-Muharibi being uncertain, he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: «There will be after me discords and discords».

Others narrated it from Layth with his chain, and said: on the authority of 'Arfajah ibn Shurayh, which is the correct (form), and it is said: 'Arfajah ibn Darih, Ibn Mandah said it; and Abu Nu'aym said, mentioning it: Thus was it reported, but it is an error; it is only 'Arfajah ibn Darih or Darih ibn 'Arfajah.
