Biography of Buraidah ibn al-Husayb

Then he came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, after Uhud, and witnessed his battles with him, and witnessed Al-Hudaybiyyah, and the Pledge of Ridwan under the tree. He was one of the residents of the city. He then moved to Basra, and built a house there.
Then he left it as a conqueror to Khorasan. He resided in Merv until he died and was buried there, and his son remained there. Reported by Abu al-Barakat al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn Hibat Allah al-Shafi'i al-Dimashqi, on the authority of his father, who said: the Prophet ﷺ said: "None of my companions dies in a land except that he will be a leader and a light for them on the Day of Resurrection." Abdullah bin Buraida narrated on the authority of his father that the Prophet ﷺ said to him and to Al-Hakam bin Amr Al-Ghifari: "You are Two eyes for the people of the East" and they did not pass by. They died with it. Abdullah bin Buraidah said on the authority of his father that the Prophet ﷺ was optimistic and not arrogant, so Buraidah rode with seventy riders from his family from Bani Sahm. He met the Prophet ﷺ and said to him: Who are you from?
He said: Who converted to Islam? So he said to Abu Bakr: We greeted. He then said: From whose children? He said: From Bani Sahm. He said: Your arrow came out.
