Biography of Ja'far Abu Zam'ah al-Balawi

Ja'far Abu Zam'ah al-Balawi was among those who gave the pledge under the tree, the Pledge of al-Ridwan; he settled in Egypt; there is difference concerning his name, so it is said: Ja'far, and it is said: 'Abd.

Abu Musa mentioned him under "'Abd," and did not mention him under "Ja'far."
