Biography of Qays ibn Abi al-As

d 'a: Qays ibn Abi al-'As ibn Qays ibn 'Adi ibn Sa'd ibn Sahm was present at the conquest of Egypt and laid out a house there; he held the judgeship of Egypt for 'Umar ibn al-Khattab; Ibn Lahi'ah narrated it, on the authority of Yazid ibn Abi Habib; Ibn Yunus said it.

Ibn Mandah and Abu Nu'aym related it.
