Jundub ibn Naji'ah

Dhahabi: Jundub ibn Naji'ah, or Naji'ah ibn Jundub, reported Muhammad ibn Ma'mar, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn Musa, from Musa ibn 'Ubaydah, from 'Abd Allah ibn 'Amr al-Aslami, from Naji'ah ibn Jundub, or Jundub ibn Naji'ah, who said: When we were at al-Ghamim, a messenger came to inform the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) that the Quraysh had sent Khalid ibn al-Walid with cavalry to intercept the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) disliked to meet him, and he was compassionate towards them, said: Who is the man who has diverted us from the path?, I said: I am with you, father. So he took them on the path, and the earth caved in until he descended upon al-Hudaybiyah, which was a place of refuge. He threw an arrow or two from his Kinani bow, then spat upon it, and invoked, so its eyes became inflamed until I say: If we had wished, we could have lifted it with our hands.

And he was reported by Abu Bakr ibn Abu Shaybah, from 'Ubayd Allah, who said: from Naji'ah, without any doubt.

He was authenticated by Ibn Mandah, and Abu Na'im.

His statement: When we were at al-Ghamim, this is in the context of the 'Umrah of al-Hudaybiyah, for Khalid was an unbeliever at that time, then he became a Muslim afterwards.
