Definition of To chase / To expel

Sharada al-ba'ir: the camel fled.

Sharadtu fulanan: I drove him away to other lands.

The Almighty says: 'Scatter by them those behind them' (Al-Anfal 57), meaning frighten them and make them flee so their example serves as warning to others.
