Definition of Lie / False testimony
Az-zawr: the upper part of the chest.
Zurtuhu: I visited him by heading toward him.
Az-ziwar and at-tazawur: the visit.
The Almighty says: 'And you see the sun... inclining toward the right' (Al-Kahf 17), describing its inclination.
Az-zur: falsehood and idols. 'Who do not testify to falsehood' (Al-Furqan 72).
And [had you been present], you would see the sun when it rose, inclining away from their cave on the right, and when it set, passing away from them on the left, while they were [laying] within an open space thereof. That was from the signs of Allah. He whom Allah guides is the [rightly] guided, but he whom He leaves astray - never will you find for him a protecting guide.
That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah - it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement,
And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur'an] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie.
Those who pronounce thihar among you [to separate] from their wives - they are not [consequently] their mothers. Their mothers are none but those who gave birth to them. And indeed, they are saying an objectionable statement and a falsehood. But indeed, Allah is Pardoning and Forgiving.
