Definition Al-aʿḍaʾ

Al-aʿḍaʾ according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

The plural of 'udw (limb). The limb in language: every bone furnished with its flesh, whether of a human being or an animal; one says: ad'a adh-dhabiha when it is cut into limbs. The jurists apply 'udw to the part distinct from the rest of the body of a human being or an animal, such as the tongue, the nose and the finger. (Al-mawsu'a al-fiqhiyya 5/256).
