Definition Al-adaʾ al-kaml

Al-adaʾ al-kaml according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

What a person performs in the manner for which he was commanded, such as the performance of the one who caught the imam.

Al-adaʾ al-kaml according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

What a person performs in the manner that was commanded, such as the performance of the one who caught the imam.

Al-adaʾ al-kaml according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

What the legally bound performs in accordance with what he was commanded, such as the performance of the one who caught the imam; the incomplete performance is its opposite, such as that of the one making up what he missed. (At-ta'rifat, p. 14).
