Definition Al-ʿnadya

Al-ʿnadya according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

They are those who deny the realities of things, claiming them to be illusions and vain fancies, like figures inscribed upon water.

Al-ʿnadya according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

It is the proposition in which the judgment is of incompatibility in the essences of its two parts, with abstraction made from reality, as between the unit and the pair, stone and tree, or Zayd being in the sea and not drowning.

Al-ʿnadya according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)
