Al-ʿrfya al-khaṣa according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

It is the al-`urfiyyah al-`ammah with the restriction of non-perpetuity by essence. If it is affirmative, as in our previous statement: "Every scribe has moving fingers as long as he is a scribe, but not perpetually", then it is composed of an affirmative al-`urfiyyah al-`ammah which is the first part, and a general absolute negative which is the concept of non-perpetuity.
