Definition Al-ʿṣba mʿ ghyrh

Al-ʿṣba mʿ ghyrh according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

It is every female who becomes an 'asaba (residuary heir) along with another female, like the sister with the daughter.

Al-ʿṣba mʿ ghyrh according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

It is every female who becomes an 'asaba on condition of being gathered and joined with another female who is not an 'asaba, such as the full or paternal sister when she is with the direct daughter, or one or more daughters of a single son: she becomes an 'asaba, while the daughter on her own is entitled to a fixed share (fard). The estate is thus divided between them into two halves: half for the daughter as fixed-share heir, the remainder for the sister as 'asaba.

Al-ʿṣba mʿ ghyrh according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

Every female who becomes an 'asaba along with another female, like the sister with the daughter.

Al-ʿṣba mʿ ghyrh according to At-Ta'rifat al-Fiqhiyya (Al-Barkati)

It is every female who becomes an 'asaba along with another female, like the sister with the daughter.

Al-ʿṣba mʿ ghyrh according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

According to the Malikis, the Hanafis, and the Ibadis: every female whose being an 'asaba derives from her being joined with another female, like the sister with the daughter. Al-'asabiyya: partisanship (ta'assub). Al-'usba: a company of men, horses, or birds, between ten and forty; plural: 'asb. The bindweed (lablab), a plant twining around trees; plural: 'asb. Al-'usbi: one who aids his people in injustice, and one who rages for his clan. Al-'asib: the severe.
