Definition Al-astṣnaʿ

Al-astṣnaʿ according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

In the language: the verbal noun (masdar) of "istasna'a a thing", that is, calling upon someone to make it; one says: "isna'a so-and-so a door", when one asks a man to make a door for him, just as one says "iktataba", that is, ordering that it be written for oneself. In technical usage: it is said in "At-Taliba": seeking the making (as-sana') and requesting it.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتَهُۥ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّ ۚ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ صَلُّوا۟ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا۟ تَسْلِيمًا

God and His angels shower their blessings on the Prophet. O believers, you should also send your blessings on him, and salute him with a worthy greeting.
