Definition Al-bsyṭa

Al-bsyṭa according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

The directed proposition whose meaning is either pure affirmation only, as when we say: every human is living by necessity; or pure negation only, as when we say: nothing of the human is a stone by necessity. Its opposite is the composite. The simple propositions are eight: absolute necessary, general conditional, absolute temporal, absolute dispersed, absolute perpetual, general customary, general absolute, and general possible.

Al-bsyṭa according to Maqalid al-'Ulum (As-Suyuti)

Negative, when the particle of negation in it is not part of the subject and the predicate.
