Definition Al-ḍʿyf
Al-ḍʿyf according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)
That whose establishment is debated, like qurtas with damma qaf, against qirtas with kasra qaf.
Al-ḍʿyf according to Maqalid al-'Ulum (As-Suyuti)
That which does not gather the conditions of the sahih and the hassan.
