Definition Al-ghyn

Al-ghyn according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

Below the rayn, which is rust; for rust is a thin veil that disappears through purification and the light of divine manifestation, with faith remaining alongside it. And the rayn is the thick veil that comes between the heart and faith. That is why they said: Ghayn is being veiled from witnessing while having a valid belief.

Al-ghyn according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

A light layer of rust that envelops the heart and partially covers it, and it is like the thin cloud that appears in the air and does not block the sun, but prevents its light, mentioned by Imam ar-Razi.
