Al-ilyas according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

It is used to express constriction, for he is Idris, and due to his ascension to the spiritual realm, his humoral faculties were consumed in the unseen and seized therein, and therefore constriction was expressed through him.
