Definition Al-insan al-kaml

Al-insan al-kaml according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

He is the summation of all divine and cosmic worlds, universal and particular. He is an exhaustive book containing the divine and cosmic books. In terms of his spirit and intellect, he is an intelligible book called the Mother of the Book; in terms of his heart, he is the book of the Preserved Tablet; and in terms of his soul, he is the book of Effacement and Confirmation. He is thus the honored, elevated, and purified pages, which none touch nor comprehend the secrets of except those who are purified from the dark veils. Thus, the relation of the first intellect to the macrocosm and its realities is precisely the relation of the human spirit to the body and its faculties, and the universal soul is the heart of the macrocosm, just as the rational soul is the heart of man. Therefore, the world is called the macrocosm.
