Definition Al-lazm al-ghyr al-byn

Al-lazm al-ghyr al-byn according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

It is that whose certainty of the mind regarding mutual implication requires an intermediary, such as the equality of the three angles of a triangle with two right angles. It is not sufficient for the mind to be certain that the equiangular triangle implies the two right angles, but it needs an intermediary, which is the geometric proof. And the term "immanent" (al-lazim) is used in the sense of necessary.

Al-lazm al-ghyr al-byn according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

That whose certainty of the mind regarding mutual implication requires the intermediary of equality.
