Definition Al-mwt al-abyḍ

Al-mwt al-abyḍ according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

Hunger, because it illuminates the inner self and whitens the face of the heart. Whoever kills their gluttony, their perspicacity comes back to life.

Al-mwt al-abyḍ according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

Hunger, because it illuminates the inner self and whitens the face of the heart. Whoever kills their gluttony, their perspicacity comes back to life (Al-Ta'rifat p. 255, and Al-Qashani, Istilahat al-Sufiyyah p. 92).
