Definition Al-rdaʾ

Al-rdaʾ according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

In the terminology of the masters: the manifestation of the attributes of the Real upon the servant.

Al-rdaʾ according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

The taylasan. It is sometimes intended to mean the veil that interposes between the heart and the world of holiness due to the dominance of base soul vices and the entrenchment of bodily darkness within it, such that it is totally veiled from the lights of lordship. And in the terminology of the Sufi masters: the manifestation of the attributes of the Real upon occupant.

Al-rdaʾ according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

With the lengthened alif, that with which one clothes oneself.
