Definition Al-rkaz

Al-rkaz according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

It is the wealth buried (markuz) in the earth, whether created or placed there.

Al-rkaz according to Al-Kulliyat (Al-Kafawi)

The mineral (ma'din), and it is broader in meaning than ma'din.

Al-rkaz according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

Wealth buried in the earth, whether created or placed in it; it is thus broader than ma'din (mineral) and kanz (treasure): ma'din is what God Most High created in the earth on the day He created it, kanz is the name of what the children of Adam buried in it, and ar-rikaz is the name for both.
