Definition Al-rsm al-naqṣ

Al-rsm al-naqṣ according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

That which is done by the exclusive proper attribute alone, or by it and the remote genus, like defining man by the laughing one, or by the laughing genus. Or by accidental attributes whose entirety is restricted to a single reality, like our saying in the definition of man: he is walking on his feet, wide-nailed, with visible skin, upright in stature, laughing by nature.

Al-rsm al-naqṣ according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

The definiens consisting of an exclusive proper attribute alone. Or composed of it and the remote genus. Or of accidental attributes whose entirety from the perspective of totality is restricted to a single reality. The first: like defining man by the laughing one. And the second: like defining him by the laughing body. And the third:
