📖 1 min readWith the fatha, it designates tasbih, prayer, and dhikr. It is sometimes applied to that with which beads are counted. With the damma, the sukun on the second letter, and the fatha on the unpointed ha, it designates obedience that is neither an obligation nor a sunna, the black garment, and the open courtyard, for it is a darkness in which Allah ta'ala created creation, then He sprinkled upon it from His light; whoever was touched by that light was guided, and whoever missed it strayed and went astray.
Beads strung on a thread, which is the musabbaha, meaning the instrument of tasbih. It is also applied to the supererogatory prayer.
