That which opposes the back, meaning the chest. In prosody, it is the first part of the first hemistich of the verse. Al-Sadur in our regions refers to what was established by the sultan to review the conditions of the poor, scholars, judges, market inspectors, jurisconsults, entitled persons and beneficiaries among the descendants of the Prophet and the needy, as well as to inquire about the living and the dead among them, correct their status, remove injustices among them, present their meager livelihoods, determine their functions, achieve their aspirations, fulfill their needs, and complete their sufficiency.
The dwelling place of the heart, resembling the leader of a people, and the high seat in the assembly due to its noble status over other people, as expressed by some. Al-Raghib said in (Al-Mufradat, p. 276) and others: the bodily organ, then it was metaphorically used for the beginning of a thing, such as the beginning of the book, speech, assembly, and lance. And his expression "he hit his chest" or "he aimed at his intention," and from it comes the man whose chest is afflicted.
