Definition Al-shakr

Al-shakr according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

He who sees his inability to express gratitude. It was also said: he is the one who exerts his utmost effort in fulfilling gratitude through his heart, tongue, and limbs, in belief and acknowledgment. It was also said: the shakir is the one who is grateful for ease. And it was said: the shakir is the one who is grateful for the gift, while the shakur is the one who is grateful for withholding.

He who is grateful for what exists.
