Definition Al-shadiydaa

Al-shadiydaa according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

These are the letters whose sound flow is blocked at their articulation point when they are pronounced with a neutral vowel (sukūn), so that the sound does not flow. They are eight letters and are grouped together in the expression (ajaduka qatītin). The meaning of qataba is: I mixed the drink with water.
