Definition Al-taal-iy

Al-taal-iy according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

That which comes after a thing, because it stems from the action of following which means delay. For this reason, the consequent clause of a conditional sentence is called the follower (tāli) due to its succession and delay relative to the first component, namely the antecedent (muqaddam) which is the condition.

Al-taal-iy according to Maqalid al-'Ulum (As-Suyuti)

It is the second component thereof.
