Al-trbyʿ according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

In the dictionary, it means to make a thing square. In the chapter on areas, multiplying a number by itself is called squaring, the result is called a square, and the multiplied number is called a side, just as the number multiplied by itself is called a root in numerical calculations, the result is called a radicated number, and multiplying the number by itself is called radication. (F. 25).
