Definition Al-tshṭyr

Al-tshṭyr according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

Among the elegant verbal embellishments, it consists in making each hemistich of the verse rhymed with a rhyme different from that of the other hemistich, as Abu Tammam said in his praise of Al-Mu'tasim bi-Allah, one of the Abbasid caliphs, when he conquered Amorium.
